I was the only person at Sarcan this morning. Every bottle and can has a deposit on it, so you need to return it to get that money back. Normally the line is out the door and people have garbage bags of stuff. It’s a good day.
Less great moments in Saskatchewan history:
It snained and my car is a mess.

That is the cleanest B ottle Depot that I have ever seen. Around here, ugh, you’re pretty much guaranteed to get hepatitis at a minimum just driving through the parking lot . It got to the point that I just bin them so I don’t have to deal with any of it. Screw driving bags of garbage around in my car and sorting through it by hand whilst surrounded by grime, bees, flies, and crackheads. Recouping t en cents on a $2 beverage isn't worth it to me.

It was freshly mopped. The last time I went, the floor was sticky with beer, juice, and god knows what else, and a small child kept playing on the floor, including dropping a ball/soother on the floor, picking it up, and putting it in their mouth.
In other words, I won the lottery today.

*gags*
Yup, that sounds more like it. You should definitely buy a ticket today. Maybe a couple of them, actually.

It was 10 cents 25 years ago. Picking up cans on the side of the road was a legitimate way to get enough money for an ice cream cone if you had the time and your parents wanted you out of the house.
Thinking about it, telling your 10 year old to pick up cans on the side of a 4 lane “ highway” was an acceptable thing. Times are changing.

... the money I got back would be just enough for a ticket. And considering I made $9 at Crappy Tire today in CT Money, I wouldn’t really be losing money today . You make an excellent suggestion!

You ’re boring, but we already know that. So continue on being boring.

Here, non alcoholic brings back a whopping .05 and alcoholic brings in .10 per can.

Edit: Times certainly have changed though. Funny how things which weren’t given a second thought before are now complete non-starters today. Some for the better, others for the worse I guess.
As for the cans though, around here the kids would have to compete with an incalculable number of can jockeys, some of whom are less than stable. Sad reality, actually.

Amazing. the reason I never go to Sourcan is the crowd. Cubscouts get our bottles and cans. If you put empties in the alley you’re supporting our booming crack industry. (I’ve seen fistfights over bags of cans at sarcan)

Sounds right. Although it’s more meth than crack now.
The key is to not work a regular 9-5 and be able to go at 8.30 on a weekday.

That’s worse, at least crackheads can function in society (some what) Meth cuts a wider swath of destruction.
